Ron Lewis recently retired after 40 years in music education in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Most recently, he served as Director of Bands at Fort Smith Southside High School and as a director and instructional staff member with the Van Buren High School Marching Band, where the program earned multiple state championships during his tenure. Throughout his career, he taught in Salina, Muldrow, McAlester, Bartlesville, and Collinsville, Oklahoma, where his ensembles consistently earned top placements and numerous caption awards. Bands under Mr. Lewis's direction were selected as State Honor Bands in both Oklahoma and Arkansas at the middle school, ninth-grade academy, and high school levels.

In addition to his teaching career, Ron is a highly respected adjudicator, honor band conductor, and clinician throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. He has judged more than 100 marching and concert band contests over the past three decades
